Plant your Hedging Rose 'Stromboli' in a hole 60-80 cm deep. Prepare the soil with compost and manure. Soak the rose bushes in water for one hour before planting. Divide the rose bushes in the hole, placing three bushes for every metre. You can also plant a double row for an extra wide hedge. Spread the roots out well and plant them at the correct depth. This means that the frost sensitive graft union (the thickening where the branches form) should be about 5 cm beneath the soil. Fill with soil, and give it lots of water so that is almost turns into a swamp.

You can use this rosebush as either a solitary plant or in your border. Its flowers smell delicious and make a beautiful bouquet!

Remove the dead flowers of Hedging Rose 'Stromboli' in order to promote a good growth. Hedging Rose 'Stromboli' needs a lot of food in order to experience a rich bloom. Provide it with manure regularly and place cow manure granules around its base during the winter. Give it mixed organic fertilizer early in the year and provide it with rose manure in July.

Hedging Rose 'Stromboli' needs to be pruned

Hedging Rose 'Stromboli' should be pruned every spring. Prune all of its branches in March until there are 3-5 buds on each branch. Keep five of its large branches towards its base. Since the roses you'll receive from us have already been pruned, you only need to do so again the following year. Remove any wild shoots from its roots in the summer. You'll be amazed by its numerous spines and leaves.
