Lizard Tail - Plant
The aquatic plant, Lizard Tail, is best planted in a pond basket. Line the basket with jute and fill with special soil. Plant the Lizard Tail in the basket and add a growth ball. Cover everything with the remaining jute and sprinkle with a layer of gravel. Place the basket around 5-10 cm deep in the pond. If your pond is too deep, you can place your basket within a pile of stones. Place this plant in complete sunshine. The best time to plant is between May and June.
Lizard Tail is an excellent pond plantLizard Tail is a unique pond plant that is still relatively unknown. Its white flowers combine well with other water plants. Its large leaves also make beautiful combinations with the narrow-leafed cattail (Typha Angustifolia). Lizard Tail grows easily in a marshy area of the pond using its little suckers to spread its growth.
Lizard Tail is an easy growing pond plant that requires minimal maintenance. Cut off its dead leaves in autumn and remove them from the pond. Yearly, in the spring you can add a growth ball to the pond basket. If the clump grows too large by May, you can take the Lizard Tail out of the pond. Divide the clump into smaller pieces and only plant one piece back in the basket.
