Angels' Trumpet 'Flamenco' is a fascinating plant

This exotic plant blooms from June until late autumn, giving you several months of enjoyment with their amazing flowers and fragrance. Give the Angels' Trumpet 'Flamenco' enough water and feed and you'll be richly rewarded by its exotic appearance.

The Angels' Trumpet was formerly known as Datura, but the name was later changed to its present name. The purpose was to distinguish between the standing flowers of the Datura and the hanging flowers of the Angels' Trumpet. Did you know that the Angels' Trumpet comes from the Solanaceae family which also includes potatoes and tomatoes?

The flowering period for Angels' Trumpet 'Flamenco' is from June until the first frost, during this period you will see beautiful new flowers appearing alternately. This means however that there may be times during the flowering period, that your Angels' Trumpet 'Flamenco' may not have any flowers. But don't worry, it will soon surprise you again with its fragrant trumpet-shaped flowers. Angels' Trumpet 'Flamenco' experiences its longest and most beautiful blooms when placed in partial shade. However, if you don't have a partially shady place, the Angel's Trumpet 'Flamenco' can take advantage of being in the sun. Angels' Trumpet 'Flamenco' grows at its best when placed in a large flower pot and when given plenty of water along with plant food (especially in daily warm weather) and you should often give it some liquid plant grain, fertilizer and compost. Cut off its faded flowers to keep this plant's powerful charisma.

The Angels' Trumpet 'Flamenco' will provide you with years of beautiful colours

Prune this plant around mid-May and remove branches that are faded, too long, or too thin. Place the Angels' Trumpet 'Flamenco' in a cool place for the autumn or in the house for the winter to allow it to flourish with even more beautiful flowers for the following year. Water it once a week during the winter. After the winter, remove the plant from the pot, prune the roots and this will help stimulate new root and plant growth. Fill the pot with potting soil and a small handful of slow-acting organic fertilizer. Water regularly after repotting. Angels' Trumpet 'Flamenco' can grow up to approximately 2.5 metres high. You can enjoy this tropical delight for several decades.
